Pets

As a fur parent, I think it’s natural for us to want to bring our pets everywhere. If mag out of town ako, I feel bad leaving my pet behind. Hindi lang siya ang may separation anxiety, ako rin! And sadly, konti lang ang pet-friendly establishments sa Pinas. If you scour the net and ask FB friends / FB pet communities (I’m part of the Siberian Husky group and Mini Schnauzer Lovers group) sobrang nakaka-frustrate coz konti lang din alam nila and there are hardly any blogs written about it. So I thought, since I’ve already been to several out of town trips with my dog, why not try to build a comprehensive list of pet-friendly establishments?  At the bottom of this page are the places we’ve been to so far.

But before scrolling down to our list of pet-friendly places in the Philippines, meet my travel buddy: Gandalf the Mini Schnauzer! He’s my bestest best friend in the whole world!

Since receiving Gandalf as a Christmas gift from my husband last 2011, we’ve been to a lot of adventures.

We’ve attended seminars on Puppy 101 and socialization.

Obviously, my Gandalf and I have a special bond just as you and your furbaby do. I try to bring him with me as much as possible and as you may already know, the most common pet-friendly places in the metro are SM Mall of Asia, Blue Bay Walk, Eastwood and BGC’s High Street. Once there, your dining options are limited to restaurants / cafes with al fresco seats. What’s more limiting, however, are the pet-friendly places you can go to outside the Metro. So far, these are the pet-friendly places we’ve been to:

La Luz Beach Resort in Laiya, Batangas

Camp John Hay, Baguio

For our next out of town trip, we’re currently eyeing Tagaytay. We’ve been to Bag of Beans Tagaytay before but I heard we can also go to Picnic Grove and Skyranch. I also read an article once upon a time that Sonya’s Garden allows pets to sleep inside the room with you. I’ll check all these out and post it in my next article.

If you and your furbabies have been to other pet-friendly places outside the Metro, please do shoot us an email at helpfulpinay@gmail.com so that Gandalf and I can add that to our next adventure!
